Nov. 4th, 2009 10:46 pmI walked out the door this morning and the outside screen door to the patio fell off. Just off the hinges. Entirely. After spending fifteen minutes trying to put it back on, I was going to be exceedingly late to work. It'd be nice if Rodriguez actually did his job and stopped by to perform maintenance on this house. I'm spending a good chunk of change on monthly rent. I have no pets. I'm not loud after 11pm. The least he can do is fix the door. Otherwise, I'm living in the only house on the block that looks like it's ghetto.
After working at the same temp position for the last six months, I came in late because of the damn door and I was conveniently laid off. It also could have been the idea that the last idiot who called in got an earful from me. Why the hell would you leave the power cord to your computer on the floor where your young dog could chew on it? Don't people understand that puppies teethe? This means you move your crap off the floor and put it someplace where the dog can't get to it. That woman deserved every chiding remark I shot at her.
This recession isn't helping either. Out of work. If it weren't for the money from before, I'd be out on my ass. I guess I've got one more reason to not hate the past so much. Either way, this bullshit needs to stop. I'm going out to drink myself stupid.
